Congregation Beit Hamedrash Hagadol Beth Jacob is formed

The congregation is formed by a merger of Congregations Beit Hamedrash Hagadol and Beth Jacob. It joins with Congregation Anshe Lubavitch in 1960. Its building is taken by the BRA in 1964 and torn down in 1965 and the congregation is subsequently reconstituted as the Boston Synagogue in 1960.*
